In the past three years I have seen my waist go from a 32 to a 36. Since I was in 2nd grade, I've been on medication that suppressed my appetite and kept adrenaline pumping through my system. I rarely needed to work out, sure I participated in Gym and ran around like most kids when I was younger but i never developed good physical fitness behaviors or eating patterns.
Two years ago I stopped taking that medication and since then I've ballooned. When I was in Korea, some particularly cruel students used to walk up to me and say "Teacher teacher, 동stomach." (Dong stomach = mountain stomach).
I'm tired of carrying around this extra weight, yet I don't know where to start. every time I start going out running, I don't keep going. It's not scheduled, exercise isn't part of my every day routine. So I just stop...
in terms of priorities, it's never been one of the important things for me.
I want a physique similar to what I had when I was in university, since I know I'll not get what I had in high school.
I guess the questions now are 1) What am I willing to do to get what I want? 2) How am I going to accomplish it?
me, a lvl 77 Warlock, and my friend an lvl 80 Death Knight.. against the Warp Splinter last boss..
it's a tough fight, the tree keeps summoning treants and healing itself...
it's a long fihgt.. I'm cursing and draining the tree's soul while my friend is doing it's DK thing, chopping the every living shit out of it.. While my demon is taking the aggro... All while we're watching the server restart message count down in 15 second intervals...
15 seconds before server restart...
We kill the mo fo and get the dungeon achievement...
okay so today I was walking around the school, doing my teacher thing, when I see several students playing inside a room that is off limits (also happens to be across from my classrom) due to construction. This room connects to the outside roof where there is heavy construction going on. Well, I tell the kids to get out of the room and they do. However when my back is turned, they go back into the room and out the window RIGHT into the construction zone..
Well.. I see them ducking beneath the window that I am standing near. Thinking " hey, I'll just lightly tap the window with my fist, that'll scare them and get them back inside..", i do just that..
Unfortunately, I don't think that I know my own strength because I ended up putting the bottom part of my fist through the window, cutting the hell out of my hand. Yes, this was not the most intelligent thing that I've ever done...
Anyway, here I sit, managing to type out a lj entry, my palm completely bandaged.
It wasn't until I got back from the doctor that I realized that tapping on the glass probably wasn't the best idea.. Oh well, hindsight is 20/20.
Anyway, the other funny part of that day came when I was trying to track down the students that were outside. I was walking all over the school looking for one student in particular, who I figured would lead me to the rest. Well, I get outside on the playground and this one student (not the student that I was looking for) looks at me, looks at my hand, then tries to take off. Well,I figured he must have been one of the boys in the room so I chase him down and in the end, it's actually the other 3rd year students (yeah it was my 3rd grade kids out playing in the construction zone, 9th grade by american standards) who stopping him and told him to come with me.
So I brought him to my korean counterpart who took him to his homeroom teacher. The most ironic part is that I wasn't even looking for that particular student. Had he not tried to run away, I never even would have suspected that he was one of the boys playing in the construction zone.
So his conscience got him in trouble!
Now I need to stop typing as apparently I'm starting to bleed on my keyboard - oh well time to change the bandage, though luckily no stitches!!!
